You won't have to worry about Healy too much longer. He'll leave after this season. He's probably hoping he would've left after last.
Someone seems a little cocky after today.
I’m with YankeeVol on this. Made the trip to Martin, stood in the pouring rain and watched what looked like an Austin Peay of what were used to before last season. Unacceptable. No help on the offensive line, special teams was awful, miscues, bad penalties, just an awful and pathetic performance. Martin didn’t beat us, we beat ourselves.
I want to say this program is on the rise and I still think it is, but after today and playing Jax St next Saturday, it’s going to be hard to get in the playoffs and that was the goal this year.
Disappointing loss, we were beaten in all phases, O, D, special teams and coaching. All is not lost however, this same group last year over excelled and played well above this level and this team has much more talent and experience.
Jax State already has a notch in the W column, lets go down there and spoil that and the homecoming for them. Their fans are not only cocky (they have a right to be in the OVC) they do not see any competition until their annual playoff run, that has been more like a quick stop lately.
I like the UTM coach, his back was against the wall and they answered the bell.
I don’t put a lot of what happened on Saturday on the defense. I thought they played very well considering how long they were on the field.
And I have no doubt this team can bounce back. After watching last week I certainly have my doubts going into this weekend but this team is talented enough to bounce back. Are they talented enough to bounce back and get what would be a HUGE win? That I’m not so sure.

Enough of this rah rah crap! The Govs as of right now are a BAD football team... They've looked that way all season. Just because you can cover against two non-scholarship scrubs doesn't mean you can compete for an OVC title, and we all found that out Saturday. How much has ditching their OC in the middle of week 3 effected this team? And why in the world did they do that? All we've gotten from them are vague patronizing answers on something that could very well sink our whole season... The cute RPO offensive trickery that worked last season is on film all over the league now and it's not going to work anymore! These two "top tier" quarterbacks the Govs supposedly have can't accurately throw the ball more than 5-10 yards downfield, and both of them are too timid to step up as the pocket collapses and make a play. The defense looks good enough to win ballgames, but offensively they're one dimensional at best. As a fan I could not be more disappointed after what I saw on Saturday. I'll be with this team no matter what, but my confidence is seriously shaken right now! LET'S GO PEAY!
They must've had a very good reason to let him go after two games and quite honestly, out of respect for the team and the family, I don't think if it's any of our business. Whether he would've made a difference at Martin or not could be up for debate. Martin, in my opinion, did not look like a very good team. We just played absolutely awful. Couldn't do anything right at all. But as I said before, this team is talented enough to bounce back. The bad thing is, they have to do it against JSU.
