Since we're at the halfway point of the season, I figured it would be fun to see what everyone's opinion would be on the remainder of the season. Here are the remaining games and I think other than UCF ($$$ game), I think all of them are winnable games for us.
@ TSU @nissan Stadium vs SEMO - Homecoming @ UCF @ Tenn Tech @ EKU @ EIU
As I said, other than UCF, all of these are winnable games. With that being said, I think we finish the season 4-2 losing to UCF and either Tech or EKU. 3 straight weekends on the road is tough on anyone and I think it will catch up to them at EKU. Still, if the Govs can finish this 7-5, that's well exceeding expectations and gives us HUGE expectations for next year. Something else to think about, if they finish 7-1 in the conference, there's a chance we could get an at large bid into the playoffs. I know that's probably a long shot, but depending on how they finish, there is a chance.

Of course I'm hoping you have a loss against TSU as well. It's our homecoming, so TSU is going to be fired up to get the win for the homecoming crowd. I thought we had a terrible schedule with 4 road games to start the season. Your schedule is just as bad with 5 of your last six games being on the road and the last 4 being on the road. Hope you guys will travel down to Nashville for the game. Good luck in all of your other games. Besides TSU that is...

Well, I know we'll have a good crowd as all of the tix from the allotment were sold out yesterday. So looks like I'll be buying one when I get to the game.

EIU is a home game per the schedule---that gives us five (5) home games.

I know most of that support is because you guys are winning. I hope the support continues regardless of your win/loss record. Realistically this should always be one of the larger games in the OVC given the proximity of the two schools. There's really no reason why football games between TSU and APSU shouldn't consistently be between 15K and 20K every season. Both schools should work together to better promote this game whether it is being played in Nashville or in Clarksville. Both schools bands and spirit squads should always be present. Students encouraged to go to this game. And, of course alumni and other supporters should be targeted to attend this game. It simply is a game that should be a bigger game for both schools than what it is. More fans will bring in more money and both schools athletic departments can benefit from more money. Have fun at the game.
