Govs came out flat in the first half but really turned it around in the 2nd half outscoring the Wolfpack 38-29. Good shots and forcing turnovers and if they play like that the whole game, we probably win this game.
Hopefully we can keep this momentum going into tomorrow's game with Niagara which starts at 5:00

I understand what you're saying, but I thought we would play NC State tough tonight. We apparently did play them tough only losing by 7, but I just didn't see us winning this one. We'll have our fair share of wins this season. Yes, we're young, but when the team gels and each person finds their role and accepts that, we'll be a tough team to beat in the conference.

barto3244,
I see a lot of growth between the lines on this team. I liked the effort of the kid from Kentucky last night. Wes just had a tough night.
It's just a matter of time(starting tonight) before this young team gels.
The key is Duran. He must come to the table and give them something positive everynight. He is the best scorer amongst the bigs.
This team must find it's own identity. Lockett, Reed, Babington, Duncan and Wright are not walking through the door tonight! And last I checked Fly, Morgan, Wells, Hassel and Stapleton have moved on also!
That's what pre-season and OOC games are all about, finding the right combination of players to win with in conference play. The Dean mentor will work his magic.

I was just thinking about how there was no thread for this game, but seeing as it's the last game of the season, I can't say I'm surprised. Everyone has moved over to basketball already because our football team is not producing.
But as I keep on stating throughout the season, we're a QB away from having a winning season, as well as decent play calling. Our running backs can only keep us in the game for so long, our defense which has stepped up as the season went on, laid an egg this game (cause they're never off the field) except for forcing three turnovers, which the offense produced ZERO points off of.

Once again, it is the same story for AP. Bad QB play, poor play calling and a few missed calls by officials. The tough part about this is with all the seniors, AP should have been in contention for OVC. I saw all the games and the only team that was better was JAX State.
